10/27/16 – Peregrine falcons in Australia

10/27/16 – Of course you know that Peregrine falcons live on every continent except Antarctica, but did you know that there are falcons on camera now? The FalconCam Project in Orange, New South Wales is hosting a camera on a falcon scrape on the campus of Charles Sturt University. Right now they have three chicks, named Rubi, Vim, and Mell, that are becoming very active right now. They are expected to fledge around November 11th, so their time left on camera is nearing an end. There are two cameras, the nest camera is a side view across the scrape, and the ledge camera looks out the front of the scrape. Sometimes you need to refresh the page to get the camera to load. Here is a video of a two-part feeding that occurred yesterday (part 1, part 2).
