7/14/16 – Well, I must start with an apology for the delay in posting these photos which were sent just before I left town for a conference. I am just now catching up and finding the time to upload them.

On Sunday July 3, a few days before the eaglets fledged, Toni and jamary visited the nest and snapped these pictures, thank you for sharing them! Dolly was there also and reported that during this visit jamary spotted the male upriver sitting in a tree while the female was soaring overhead. Then she perched ~ 200 yards upriver from the nest and the male joined her. Later, the male flew to the river and the female flew toward the nest, circling the tree and landing behind the nest.

6/22/16 – Several days ago chatter dolly was checking on the nest and snapped these photos. Sorry for the delay in posting, and thank you for showing us what the Harmar nest looks like now, the tree still far less leafed-out than the surrounding trees!

5/10/16 – Several weeks ago several chatters met at the Harmar nest and shared some great pictures with us (scroll down to post from 4/16). Here is a group photo taken at the outing showing left to right chatters: Bethany, km, annette, gerri, dolly, h, and photographer TL. The river is behind them and the highway is in front of them; they are facing the nest.

4/27/16 – Chatters dollyqueen, Carol, and e5 met at the Harmar nest today and e5 snapped these photos of the Harmar pair! Now we know what happens when one leaves the nest and another appears moments later…we witnessed the off-nest switch!

Here, we thought one was bringing food in to the nest, but actually the male did not land on the nest, but above it! He sat in the attic for a bit, then hopped down on to the nest and fed the chicks.

And the most amazing part of the excursion was witnessing how truly adapted to an urban environment these eagles are, carrying on their daily activities amidst the commotion of rush-hour traffic!

4/23/16 – Today chatters dollyqueen, HeyYouGuys, gerri, e5thg, and h-worker all met and went to the field together to watch the eagles! We had a great time and saw some action at the nest! These photos were taken by chatter e5.

February 20, 2016

This shot was taken between 10:30 -11:30 am in the Harmar Perch tree about 400 yards from the nest . The male is on the top branch with the female just below him.  Dollyqueen took this shot and noted that after sitting there a short time the female flew away and then later brought  a big stick in to the nest. The male followed shortly with some fluff!
