3/15/16 – The Harmar male brought fish in two times for the female today!
A ‘crop drop’ is when food is passed from the crop (a food storage pouch in the throat) to the stomach of the bird. It looks very much like a yawn when eagles perform a crop drop. Here is a picture that captures a crop-drop part-way complete.
